- 1 kg chicken cut in 12 pieces
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp red chilli powder
- 1 tbsp crushed red pepper
- Half tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp all spice
- 2 tbsp biryani masala
- 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
- 250 gm yoghurt
- 3 cups oil
- Half tsp zarda colour dissolve with water
- Half bunch of coriander leaves
- Handful mint leaves
- 1 cup brown onions
- 2 large tomatoes
- 4 green chillies
- 4 potatoes cut in 4 pieces each
Steps to make to make Jhatpat biryani
- In a blender add yoghurt,brown onion, green chillies, tomatoes, ginger garlic paste, coriander leaves and mint leaves.blend all the ingredients.keep aside.
- In a pan add oil, fry the potatoes. Add chicken pieces and fry well till golden in colour. Add all the seasoning and add prepared yoghurt mixture.mix well. Cook till chicken tender.
- Assembling: In a pan put oil from prepared chicken gravy. Then give layer of rice then chicken gravy then pour dissolve zarda colour.
- Then give layer of rice and drizzle zarda colour. Give dam for atleast 15 minutes.
- Biryani is ready to serve. Serve with raita.
